Hierarchical Shape Sprint

The design challenge was to compose an abstract shape that uses the principle of hierarchy within a 7-minute time constraint.

I created a shape with the pen tool and divided the space within it unevenly to create a sense of hierarchy while keeping it relatively balanced. I included small intermittent details and placed them irregularly to leave differently sized uninterrupted swaths of space and line. This project was incredibly formative for my sense of how to achieve hierarchy.
